ABOUT NATALIE
Welcome! My name’s Natalie and I’m the face behind Nourished with Natalie. I’m so happy you’re here!
This is my small space on the internet where you’ll find all things food and wellness related. Besides food, I love anything creative (crocheting, painting, pottery making, the list goes on), binge watching film and tv, and exploring – whether it be in my own backyard or 2000 miles away.
I currently live in Los Angeles, CA with my dog, Bear. He’s a 12 year old Pomeranian I adopted in July of 2021. I can almost guarantee if you follow me on Instagram you’ll see some glimpses of him!
I’ve ALWAYS loved food, but suffered from chronic stomachaches growing up. Because of this, I found myself going back and forth between a vegan and vegetarian diet during my teen years. As a junior in college, I started experiencing more stomach issues and switched to a completely vegan diet. Within a few months my issues cleared up and I haven’t look backed since!
As time went on, I realized I absolutely loved cooking as a creative outlet. And, loved making food for others, whether they were vegan or not. However, one of the main struggles I had when going vegan was finding good quality recipes that don’t require any crazy ingredients. For this reason… I created Nourished with Natalie!
P.S. You’ll also find a lot of posts on creating routines, plant based guides, and non-toxic living. Along with a plant-forward diet, I try to live a healthy, balanced life.

ABOUT NOURISHED WITH NATALIE
I started this blog in 2020 with one goal in mind: To share my love of plant based food to my family and friends during the beginning of quarantine. Since then, I’ve realized how much I love blogging and have expanded this blog into an Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and Facebook community.
Here you’ll find plant-forward recipes, often centered around seasonal produce. While all the recipes I share are of course vegan, you can modify them to fit your dietary preferences. While this is a vegan blog, I encourage you to eat in a way that suits your body and lifestyle best!
While there’s lots of vegan recipes on the internet, I like to keep things simple around here (okay, except for the occasional fancy recipe). I try to use ingredients you most likely already have in your pantry, or can easily find at your local grocery store. My recipes are designed to be simple, approachable, and of course, delicious! But most importantly, they are created to be enjoyed by vegans and non-vegans alike.
Along with recipes, you’ll find posts/guides on hormone healthy and plant based living. My aim is that these resources and recipes will help you find a healthy, balanced way of living!
WHY ‘NOURISHED’?
I titled my blog Nourished with Natalie because I love the word nourished and all that it encompasses.
For me, being nourished is about filling your life with things that provide joy, while simultaneously making you feel good. You’ll find lots of plant based recipes on here as I find these recipes to be especially nourishing – they taste delicious, are satisfying, and leave you feeling great.
But you’ll also find the occasional vegan recipe on here that’s less focused on nutrients and more focused on fun. I’m a firm believer that life (and food) is all about balance. There’s room for everything and everyone here!
So, while I love spending time outdoors, you’ll also find me sitting on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn watching Gilmore Girls most nights.
FAQ
Can I make substitutions in your recipes?
Sometimes! On every single recipe I always include an ingredients section that goes over substitutions. If I haven’t listed something as a possible substitution, it’s most likely because it isn’t a simple swap. You are more than welcome to do any experimenting with the recipes on here, however I can’t guarantee it will turn out as intended.
Are you 100% vegan?
Yep! I follow a fully vegan diet and all recipes on my site are completely vegan. With that being said, I recognize that eating vegan all the time isn’t always feasible for everyone. However, I do think anyone, regarding of their lifestyle, can benefit from incorporating more plant based meals into their diet.
Do you have nutritional information for your recipes?
The vast majority of recipes on my site have nutritional information included in the recipe card. However, these are estimates based on the ingredients and servings. While it’s a great guide, there may be differences based on brand of ingredients, serving sizes, and adjustments made.
How did you get started blogging?
I loooove talking about blogging. I think it’s so fun! I started this blog in August of 2020, but didn’t actually take it seriously until December 2022. While there’s an insane amount of information to learn, there’s so many good resources out there.
If you’re looking to start a blog, you can reference my post on creating a WordPress website. Additionally, I’m currently working on creating a guide with my favorite blogging resources. Once I have that completed, I will add that post here.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about blogging, let me know! You can contact me here and I will respond as soon as I can.
