I Spent $47 on V Shred. Is It Worth It? 2025 Review

Chances are a V Shred ad has popped up somewhere on your computer in the past few months. So, now you’re wondering is it worth it? Is it everything it says it is? I spent $47 on the Fat Loss Extreme For Her plan so that I could give you a thorough review on whether or not it’s worth it in 2025.

Spoiler: it’s not.

An ad from the V Shred program run by Vince Sant where he is holding a supplement bottle.

Based off the ads, I knew I wanted to review this program, but I had no idea just HOW popular it is. They have nearly 800,000 individuals in the women’s facebook group alone! That’s insane. Their estimated annual salary is over 25 million dollars – again, insane.

So if you’re reading this review, you’re probably considering investing the money – I mean in theory it sounds like a great deal. But, is it actually? Keep reading as I break down what the program is, why I don’t recommend it, why it remains so popular, and what I recommend instead.

What is V Shred?

V Shred is a fitness program that has multiple different workout plans and meal guides that are designed to help you achieve your fitness goals.

The company markets mainly through YouTube ads that feature Vince Sant co-founder of the company. As you can see, he’s also usually shirtless in most of the ads.

The program is designed to help you shed fat through simple fixes. It claims that if you follow the program you’ll easily be able to lose weight. They heavily rely on targeting pain points of the weight loss process in their ads, saying things like, “I know exactly how you feel.” And, mentioning how frustrating the weight loss process can be. They then emphasize how they can help you lose weight without feeling miserable.

P.S. If it sounds too good to be true, that’s because it is.

What the Fat Loss Extreme For Her Program Includes

For $47, you get a 90 day workout and meal plan designed to help you lose fat. When you click on it you’re taken to a landing page (that seems to go on forever) filled with statements like, “You’ve tried, you’ve failed – it’s not your fault.”

As well as a whole lot of talk about three secrets that will instantly make the weight loss process “super fast, simple, and easy.” If you’re wondering what the V Shred secret is…it’s to stop starving yourself, utilize carb cycling, and stop doing cardio and start doing HIIT.

A screenshot from the V Shred website saying you don't have to give up on your dream body.

So no, there’s no real big secret!

The program includes:

  • 3 months of gym / at home workouts
  • A web app to help you burn fat fast (not sure how a web app helps you burn fat fast…)
  • How-to videos for each exercise
  • A customized diet plan
  • An easy-to-follow-calendar
  • Fast & easy 15 min HIIT cardio workouts
  • Access to a private facebook group

V Shred Workout Plan

So, once you purchase the plan, you’re able to log-in to their website and access the workouts and meal plan. For the workouts, it’s laid out in a monthly format and you click on the day and are either taken to a video of the workout (if you choose follow along workout) or a page with the exercises listed for the specific day (if you choose gym workout).

A calendar showing month 1 with 28 days.

Personally, I found this format a bit annoying as having to click in on each individual day to see the exercises drove me a bit crazy. I was anticipating there being a PDF for those who prefer to see everything at once or for those who stay off their phone when working out.

But overall, the workouts are simple with exercises like high knees, side plank hip raises, rollover crunches, etc. Each workout starts with a simple 5 minute cardio warm-up and then includes 5 exercises you repeat 4-6 times for a total of 15 minutes.

V Shred Diet Plan

On your account page you also have the meal plan section. The first step is to figure out how many calories you should be eating based on super simple calculations that involve your age, weight, and height. Nothing else. For me it recommended to eat 1,700 – 1,899 calories a day. Honestly, this isn’t a bad amount and it’s good to see they’re not recommending a crazy low calorie diet. But again, it doesn’t take into account my activity level, body fat percentage, or anything else.

Next, they give you 10 different options each for breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack and dinner (with recipes included). You then mix and match based on your calorie goals. There’s also no way to choose a specific diet (i.e. gluten free, vegan) but it does have a few plant based options for each meal. As you keep scrolling you’ll see a list of substitutions you can make for specific ingredients.

It also comes with sample meal plans you can follow for when the 90 days are up, which includes similar recipes and foods as to what’s included in the diet plan section above.

And there you have it, that’s the meal plan and the workout guide. As you can see it’s pretty simple. Okay, really simple. As in, you could find the same thing on Google for free.

Is V Shred Worth It?

Personally, I don’t think V Shred is worth it. At all. However, I also don’t think it’s a scam. It’s pretty much a bare bones, one size fits all, exercise and meal plan.

Can V Shred help you lose weight? Definitely! But it’s not a quick fix or an easy solution to a tough problem. The meals they recommend are healthy and the exercises are good for you – so if you follow them you will most likely lose some weight. So what’s the problem?

Exaggerated Advertising

There’s a big gap between what V Shred is advertising versus what you actually get. After you sign up for a program, you’re led to believe that you’re going to get in on some secret weight loss plan that will be easy to follow. You’re not. That’s just not how weight loss works!

But, he targets individuals who are desperate to lose weight and have failed previously, so when he says things like, “I understand just how you feel,” he makes it seem like he’s been there and has come out the other side. They also consistently frame the programs to sound like they’re being tailored to YOU. But, they’re not. They’re just generic diet and exercise plans.

They also throw out claims like jogging, treadmills, exercise bikes, and any form of “long, steady cardio is 100% ineffective.” Or that, carb cycling is a “Nuclear Bomb for rapid fat loss.” These sort of all-or-nothing phrases are, again, exaggerated. Steady cardio isn’t always ineffective and carb cycling isn’t going to change your life.

Demonizes Certain Foods & Exercises

Another problem I have with this program is that they demonize certain foods and exercises. They make cardio out to be the enemy and claim that you never have to do traditional cardio again. Most of the time the reason people hate cardio, isn’t because it sucks, but rather because they’re doing it in a way that they don’t enjoy.

Finding a way to enjoy cardio, rather than avoiding it at all costs is going to be much better for you in the long run! Whether it’s hiking, tennis, dancing, running, etc., cardio doesn’t always mean spending an hour on the elliptical.

They also make it seem like the only reason people would want to eat healthy and work out in the first place is to lose weight. Given it’s a weight loss program this makes sense, but it’s going to be much harder to stick with it in the long-term if that’s your mindset. And, based on who V Shred is targeting, it’s largely people who have had trouble losing weight in the past.

Their ads also mention salads as boring and bland and show Vince choosing to eat pizza instead. But, salads can great if you put the effort in and never once on the meal plan did I see pizza – just saying. Plus, they talk about avoiding cravings by writing them down and then allowing yourself a cheat meal every week. While this strategy may work for some, it’s much easier to just eat everything in moderation and not label certain meals as, “cheating.”

Constant Upsells

And, lastly, V Shred is hyper-fixated on upselling you. Whether it be getting you to work with a trainer 1:1, or getting you to order a custom meal plan, they are constantly trying to get you to invest more money.

A pop up trying to get you to invest in V Shred's Accelerator program.

I’ve read reviews on both the custom meal plans and personal trainers, and they’re overall, again not super personalized. But, I didn’t go either of those routes so I can’t say from firsthand experience.

They also have supplements that they are constantly trying to sell – they even have a free supplement guide to help you understand what exactly you need. Again, see the usage of “you” to make it seem personal? There’s bright colors and large text throughout the landing pages saying things like, “If you want to get in on this rare opportunity to get fit, lean and sexy, you need to act now.” Anyone else reminded of an early 2000s infomercial?

A pop up on the program that says you need to schedule a metabolic assessment in the next 15 minutes.

They’re constantly making it seem like you need to keep investing to have an even better chance at losing weight, but that’s just not the truth!

But Why is V Shred Popular?

V Shred relies heavily on their marketing strategy – a strategy that they’ve nailed down. Throughout the process of exploring their website they make you feel as if they are talking to YOU specifically. You take a quiz on your body type and then you’re brought to a video with Vince where he talks about YOUR body type and fitness goals and how his programs can help.

His marketing also relies heavily on demonizing things that people often find hard in the weight loss process (i.e. calorie counting, doing cardio, eating bland foods, etc.). He uses this tactic to show that weight loss can be enjoyable and easy, but only if you follow his program.

So why is it so successful if it has plenty of negative reviews? Well, V Shred’s marketing technique heavily relies on playing to his audience’s troubles and claiming he can easily fix their problems. The vast majority of his audience is people who have tried to lose weight in the past, found it too hard, and failed. But, often the biggest problem isn’t knowing what exercises to do or what to eat, but rather sticking to it.

And, this program is not going to help you do that. The only way that I see it being helpful by sticking to it is joining the Facebook group to get added to a community of people going through similar things. However, there’s Facebook groups out there like that for free!

So, What Can I Do Instead?

Instead of purchasing another plan that claims it has the secret to weight loss, I recommend asking yourself why you’re struggling in the first place. Is it lack of time? Not sure what exercises to do? Struggling with diet? Depending on what you’re struggling with, there’s plenty of free resources out there that are incredibly helpful.

YouTube is an amazing resource for workouts if you don’t know where to start, Mrandmrsmuscle, Caroline Girvan, and Blogilates are just a few examples of creators who have workout series you can follow each day.

And, The Real Food Dietitians has a bunch of great free meal plans if you’re struggling with diet. Or, you can use a more accurate calorie calculator to figure out your calorie needs and then create your own meal plan based around that. You can use food blogging sites, Instagram, YouTube, and more for recipe inspiration. P.S. you can find my round-up recipe series here if you’re looking for vegan recipes.

There’s also plenty of lifestyle factors that can impact weight loss, from stress to sleep to hormones, so if you feel like you’re doing everything right, but still struggling, I highly recommend consulting a doctor.

And most importantly, I recommend looking at eating healthier and working out as a lifestyle change that will benefit you in the long-term, not a quick fix!

Hopefully this review helped you understand whether or not the program is worth it for you! And, let me know below if you’ve tried V Shred and what you thought of the experience.

  1. Once you join, if you want to cancel, they will tell you it’s cancelled and I kept screenshots and they proceeded to keep charging. Chatted twice more claimed they will refund and cancel, had all the screenshots over 3 months. Finally refunded and charged the monthly fee AGAIN, these people are totally scammers. Waiting for another refund. Filing a complaint with my bank.

    1. I just joined and am now reading this. Am I going to get charged again? I thought it was a one payment deal. ?? Please advise. Thank you!!

      1. I took VShred a long time ago and it works like a traditional weight loss program. What they advertise isn’t accurate or isn’t actually what happens in the program. No you can’t eat anything you want. There is a restricted diet plan, They offer alot of supplements that may help or not and the emphasis is on exercising for a few minutes. I saw nothing different from the actual traditional weight loss plan. And yes, they have upgrades relative to their supplements. If it works, that’s because you do well with traditional weight loss plans. Which I don’t because there may come a time I don’t want to exercise or eat healthy, and the weight just piles on again. NOW, if he is doing as he says, “Can eat anything he wants, including carbs,” it’s not because of the program he’s selling people. The only weightloss programs in which you can eat almost anything and live a normal life with a little exercise and it be successful is (1) Weight Watchers (2) The Food Lovers Diet and (3) Find an Indian Paracharma practitioner who helps you to loose weight and appear to have time turn back on it’s heels with eating how Indian people generally eat. The rich and ultra elite do this, and it’s why they look so young. It consists of a 3-day fast in which Day 1 is elimination, and they give herbs to cleanse all of the toxins from the processed foods out, and for those 3 days, you can eat raisins, non-processed popcorn with ghee, cumin, turmeric, or healing herbs to get rid of the processed foods damage internally, and mung bean soup. The next 7 days, you can continue to eat the raisins, popcorn with ghee and healing herbs, mung bean soup and now add raw vegetables only. No cooked veggies, no dressing, no cheeses, no meats, no processed foods, no ice and only warm herbal teas you can drink. After that 7 days is up then you can eat everything you ate prior except now it can be cookied veggies, then the next 7 days add the prior except now you can add baked chicken, the next 7 days add the prior except now baked fish, and the last of the 7 days: You can eat almost anything you want like the VShred guy when he had the pizza, doughnuts, soda pop etc. for 7 days . But after that 7 days is up you go right back to the 3 day cleansing etc. That’s the hard part, in my opinion. And you’re supposed to be doing yoga during all of this time and receiving massages for the belly to work with your mindset. It does work, but in my opinion, you need more than 3 months to change the mindset, maybe a year, b/c the American Mindset of eating and living a stress-filled life and temptations everywhere is a difficult devil to tame.

  2. Like many have said, I too am NOT going to try V shred. The main guy and now that former gladiator gal are so arrogant and a major red flag was him eating pizza and acting like everyone else is stupid for carnivore, keto or paleo dieting. I think Jordan Pederson would own him in a debate about diets. Also, why demonize Paleo – you can eat just veggies and fruit or a mix of fruit and meats or just meat and still be Paleo! Basically, Paleo is steering clear of processed foods! That is good. So them mocking such is ridiculous!

    1. I completely agree with you! They show pepperoni pizza and chocolate donuts as foods you don’t have to give up. It is meant to make the consumer feel like they can eat these foods as long as you follow their meal plan. I didn’t take the time to look, but I doubt they suggest a donut as a breakfast option or a pizza as a lunch or dinner choice. It comes down to common sense and putting the time in to eat as best as you can as often as you can and daily exercise.

    2. I was tempted to try VShred as I was intrigued by the “eat for your specific body type”…..Is that really a thing? Also, I have been fit most of my life but the last year something changed and I am now insulin resistant. It is virtually impossible to reverse………..The big issue is I am now 73……….I do a couple of miles on a treadmill every morning and strength training………..I also eat pretty much nothing. Eggs, chicken, sauerkraut and bone broth. Nothing is helping………..VShred’s HIIT made me pause, and getting down on the floor for the other exercises at my age and my weight now is unlikely………….Are there any other folks my age here that have found success with some specific diet and exercise program?………

      1. I at 71 am trying to find the right program too. I take psych meds that cause weight gain & don’t dare mess with them as I have been stable & felt good for the first time in a long time. I have double knee replacement & back problems along with balance issues. I LOVED Zumba, but I don’t want to try it due to FEAR OF FALLING. (I Fell at work last week 😩).
Let me know if you find something good for MATURE, FULL FIGURE WOMEN.
        Sheila

      2. I don’t know if you are checking back for replies, but insulin resistance can be treated by getting your body fat-adapted. Look for Ben Azadi or Dr. Boz (Annette Bosworth M.D.) videos on YouTube. You will be astonished by what fat adaptation can do for your health.

  3. Thanks for the review! I was tempted to try v shred, mostly for the structure, but having second thoughts after reading this. Itt sounds like they significantly over-promise what is included.
Also, I cannot access your link for the free meal planner bundle. Is it still available?

    1. Agree! Great review and thank you so much for doing it… Definitely changed my mind and confirmed what I thought originally. Also, looking at other reviews, agree it did kind of seem obvious it was sales pitch when targeting many of the traditional diets and exercise plans. Again, great review an article. Thank you for doing it very well said!

  4. Hello again,
This is a follow up to my March 23 post. I am basically a year into my lifestyle change of walking daily and Sunday to Friday fasting routine (18:6). My weekends are the same as they were before: beer, chips, pizza, etc. routine (I refuse to give them up!!!). I still travel monthly with the obligatory midweek entertainment 😉 and I typically don’t meet my exercise / eating goals during the travel week.
In November 2023 I was slightly over 215 lbs, when I wrote my March review I was down to 195 lbs. At the beginning of November 2024, I was down to 180 lbs. Loosely speaking, 30 lbs in a year (mostly fat I would say). It most likely would’ve been much faster, had I dedicated myself to eating / consuming clean 7 days a week versus 4 days a week.
At the beginning of November, I added an upper & lower barbell / dumbbell compound weight routine and elliptical HIIT (<20min) routine first thing in the morning before I start my day, otherwise it gets a little harder to do, later in the day, with the kids, sports, dog, etc. I still walk in the evenings (30 to 60 min, depending on the weather).
It has been a ***rough*** transition. I’ve had to make several adjustments and changes with my eating and weight routine, while continuing to walk. I was also feeling exhausted, etc. You can’t fast ‘as long’ while doing weight exercise, preparing protein / carbohydrate, balanced meals take effort and work (it was all a bit frustrating to say the least). So, after the rough transition, I’ve finally settled into a decent routine ‘again’ which works for me (alternate between upper, HIIT, and lower routines, Mon to Sat, no HIIT or weights on Sun). Trying to keep it down to 30 min max per session.
Another change involves my ultimate goal: You can’t keep losing weight forever! I seem to have settled in at about 185 lbs (correct, I gained 5 lbs). However, my body is still transforming, albeit slowly. I am seeing definiton, muscles, the odd vein, etc. that haven’t seen in ages.
My current objective is to continue to get leaner, not worried so much about the weight number.
The most important things I learned are to have clear goals, a plan, and be flexible… I hope this helps someone. I’ll check back in at the end of March.
    Happy holidays to all!
    Jim
PS; do I just put my email above to get balanced / helpful meal suggestions …meal prep is not easy 😉

  5. Thanks for sharing your experience! I’ve been curious about V Shred and whether it lives up to the hype. Your insights on its effectiveness and value are really helpful. I appreciate the detailed review!

  6. Hey Nat,

I am certainly willing to try V-Shred and report back to you but before I do I have a different type of challenge. I dont have a thyroid. So tiredness and weight-gain are two things that are extremely present in my day to day life, even though my synthroid medication is trying to help.
Being that V-shred is very standard (not truly customized) do you think it could help if I stick to it? Again, I would love to be a good test dummy for this challenge. I am 5’6″ and over 200lbs.

    1. Hi Mark – So sorry for the delayed response. Unfortunately I’m not sure, you may need a more personalized plan created with a doctor. However, I’m sure the workouts and healthy eating will help regardless so it may be worth trying.

    2. Family of thyroid problems-3 gen. at least. Synthroid was not an answer for me-daughter—I fought hair loss and weight issues-very sluggish. Saw high end medical drs-still wanted to keep us on synthetic. YUK!

Daughter did research; humans are all individual and she discovered Thyrovanz which is a natural bovine thyroid from cattle in New Zealand (no chemicals in soils). When daughter was taken off by a medical Dr, she had issues AGAIN and has chosen to be back on this natural form of thyroid. I was taken off one time and immediate hair loss and gained 3-1/2 #’ in a week.

I do not understand why drs think humans are all stamped cookies and what is good for 1 is good for the rest? Thus-we research and do “my thing” and listen as you are trying to do! Good on you. Same thing w/antibiotics – am now resistant from so many scripts of them as a child staph carrier and NOW make my own colloidal silver, which works with my body well.

  7. It’s working for me, 10 days in and I feel more solid. Dont buy stuff if you don’t want it, This review also pushed thier own vegan plan. All of these plans, no matter who is selling depends on your effort. I personally like the videos and detailed explanation on how to do the exercise. 50 bucks! Big deal…don’t go out to eat 1 time.

  8. Hi, great review. Can you explain the alternate carb days menu plan he mentions. I’m confused but am hoping something can help me loose the last 10 pounds esp in my abd and hips areas. I already work out with a trainer and am building muscle and bone.
    Thank you !

  9. The ads have been popping up frequently and I was interested in trying it but I always search for reviews and am thankful I came across yours. I will not be wasting my money. I answered your question of why am I struggling with staying healthy and that will be the starting point for me to “look at eating healthy and working out as a lifestyle change that will benefit me in the long-term.”
Also, thank you for the YouTuber recommendations. It’s a start, which is better than where I was yesterday! Your review was very helpful!

    1. I wish I had seen this review before I signed up with Vshred. I never got anything they promised, but they did take my money. They emailed me about taking a metabolic test, but it turned out to be asking questions about my financial income, which has nothing to do with metabolic issues. I emailed them several times about this, but it is still a required answer question on their metabolic survey. They apparently do not read responses to emails, even though they write in the emails that they will. All I have received since I paid them, is emails pushing me to buy their vitamins and telling me things like oatmeal is terrible for you, etc . It was a total waste of money. I wish I could get my $67 back. I had such hopes for what they were promising, but Never received anything for my money but headaches and a ton of emails trying to sell me stuff, just continually clogging up my email.

  10. Thank you for the review. I have a lot of medical issues that makes my food choices challenging so naturally I channeled in on the fact they don’t take that into consideration.

  11. Wish i had seen THIS 2 weeks ago! I signed up for Vshred and the “personalized meal plan”. I have received multiple emails trying to get me to buy more. I have yet to receive the meal plans and work outs, but when i requested a refund i was told they’d give me 50% because they already spent time putting together my “personal” plan…..i dont know where that plan is! My next step is the Better Business Bureau!

    1. Or instead you could try and give it a chance. You are the one to decide if you see the glass half empty or half full. I’m stuck in an Arab Country for Business for months now, and I have plenty of time to train. I’m training 6 times a week, 2 times a day. Each day I do 90 minutes of exercises in my room and Abs. Then 90 minutes to 120 minutes in the Gym and then 60 minutes doing Cardio. I don’t have anything else to do here, there is no drinking, no gambling, no partying… And also training very hard, avoiding injuries. I’ve been training for a total of 10 weeks now, and I don’t know if I am to anxious or what, for sure I think the results could be much better. Specially when my business here concludes and I have to go back home (There is no way I can keep spending 24 hours a week training). I am looking for a smarter better way to do the drill.

Trust me, I have been training like a beast on a deficit calories intake of about 2,000 calories per day, 6 days a week for 10 weeks now and have some good results here, but not the ones I expected or was looking forward to getting after training at this insane rate that won’t be able to sustain once I go back home with my kids and normal day routine. So I’m just saying there should be smarter ways of doing than what I’m doing know and achieve better results.

In 10 weeks with this calories deficit I only lost 11 pounds. Which sounds like a lot but if everything was working as it should, I should have lost 28 pounds in the same period with the same amount of training and caloric deficit. So I’m in a situation that I have the time and commitment of doing the shred but not getting the results, so there is something I need to Change. Of course if someone expects magical solutions they will be hugely disappointed, but for all what I have been researching trying to improve my training routine (taking into account that in a few weeks I will be back home and will have much fewer hours to do the same shred) it sound that it makes a lot of sense. I will be making some changes in my routine and trying to improve all the Shred I have been doing with very moderate results! (By the way, I am 43, 1.84 mts tall and weighting at present 102 kg.)

      Best of luck!

      1. Your self improvement journey is impressive! Your comment about only losing 11lbs with a calorie deficit and also strength training and cardio is what I’m responding to. When focusing only on weight loss as a measure of improvement is where we can get frustrated with our interpreted level of success. Something to consider is that muscle weights TWICE what fat does. So 1 lb of muscle occupies half the volume of 1 lb of fat. So that means as you are losing fat and gaining muscle, your body composition changes. A better method of gauging success can be achieved with a tape measure or by how your clothes fit. In the end, you could end up weighting more than when you started, but having a much smaller waist size and increased arms, chest and legs. In the end, it’s all about being happy where you are, but striving for improvement. It sounds like you are doing amazing!

  12. I was tempted to purchase the plan for $57 too, except when I saw I’d have to type in a credit card and that on the same page there was an upsell for $67 dollars, I decided to look for reviews and found you! Thank you so much! I eat starch based and WFPB and I didn’t think I wanted to give in to the fat days and high protein days. I still struggle almost daily with eating “whole and unprocessed”, and I still have weight to lose, but I am looking forward to looking at your vegan meal plans. Thank you!

  13. Thanks for the honesty in your review of V-Shred. It all sounds good, however, like it’s been said before, “If it sounds too good to be true, it is!”

  14. Thank you for posting the review!
I am mobility challenged, so exercises that are basically cut off a box top is not something my body can do.

The ‘get think now’ idea can be as tempting as the ‘get RICH now’ which Vince is likely doing.

You have saved me money that, on a fixed income, I do not have. I would have been MORE frustrated then I am now.
    Thank you again
May the world treat you well

  15. What a thoughtful, fair and helpful review. You saved me from falling down the rabbit hole… again. Going the free route. Thank you.

  16. Thank you so much for your review. It stopped me from wasting my money. I appreciate it so much!

  17. Helpful review! I tried V-Shred a long time ago and could not get past the format issues. It was just annoying and I could find much better elsewhere. I think the hardest part of nutrition for me has been the overwhelming amount of meals and snacks in each day. I am going to try your shopping list because I always find these helpful! Thank you

  18. Thanks for the review. I purchased recently and I do like the meal plan they gave me, but the online workouts are nothing I was not already doing. I had a “free metabolic assessment” today where the guy basically told me I have terrible metabolism (which I already knew) and tried to upsell me to work with a special trainer for more money who would customize my program to my needs. When I explained I’m already working with my doctor because of thyroid and hormone concerns that factor into the metabolism problem he just kept saying that their personal trainer could help me more. Needless to say, I won’t be spending any more beyond what I have at this point. Wish I had seen this sooner!

    1. Hi Sarah,

Glad the meal plan is helpful, but ugh sounds like such a frustrating conversation – happy to hear you are working with your doctor, especially for such specific concerns that a PT won’t be able to address! Best of luck!

  19. Thank you for waking me up! I have been contemplating trying out the vshred program. My suspicions confirmed, I will not be trying iy

However, I fallen into a worse scam–fitspresso. I feel like complete idiot! I got 0 results after a month. I didn’t lose even a pound. I guess I was desperate. They have a 180 day return policy but I’ve read they they won’t answer the phone, they just never refund your money, etc. I wish you would investigate them. Finding any accurate information seems almost impossible. The only thing I found was they had an F rating with the BBB and were not accredited.

  20. Thank you so much for this review. I have been going back and forth for 2 days trying to decide to purchase this. I am one of those people he definitely targets. I am a bit past middle age and 25 pounds heavier than I have been my whole life except when pregnant 20 years ago. So his claim about the exercises that work and not needing to over do cardio, I believe that. I already follow simple exercises from Svelte Training/Meredith Shirk. I love her approach, the exercises. I also prefer walking and hiking for cardio. I just need to do it. I just haven’t done them since I broke my arm last summer and waited to heal but never got back into the videos after Christmas time. So much truth to just need to stick with it. I don’t need something new even though Vince made it sound enticing. I probably already know there is truth in that having days of carbs are ok when you make the effort to have days without heavy carbs. When I did Weight Watchers (which I feel is not sustainable and keep reminding myself when I think of trying again) when I had a cheat day for a family gathering or party, I actually lost weight those weeks giving my body something to burn! So in short it is very much about looking at what I can do better, being honest and then being consistent. Your review reminded me what I keep hearing in the background that I just need to work at it, not find something new. Also my son has said what you are saying, you can find things online, YouTube videos and information that is similar to paying for these plans that once you get them seem overwhelming. Thank you for you reminders and helping me confirm the right way to go about this without spending more unnecessary money.

    1. Hi Darlene, I’m happy to hear the review was helpful! It sounds like you know all the right things to do 🙂 Sometimes it’s so hard to get back into the swing of things after an injury. I always find it easiest to stick to something when I’m actually enjoying it – hopefully getting back into walking and hiking will be easier with the weather warming up. Wishing you the best of luck!

  21. Thanks for this review! This saved me from watching that long video! No I’m not purchasing this program, but that’s just me and my opinion! 🙂

  22. I too decided to give the bare minimum of vshred a try. It has been mostly cons. Many of the exercises are too complex, so without a trainer you’re doing exercises incorrectly. Many of the exercises put too much strain on the knees, and they do not provide you with alternate exercises to accommodate for this. I now have knee pain I didn’t have before. Instead of just toning my arms it made them bulky, which is not what I wanted. Some of the programs included in my package do not work on their app, they can only be used via web page. All of the follow along workouts are supposed to be preceded with you completing 4 straight minutes of jumping Jacks. 4….minutes……of jumping jacks. It’s considered the “warm up”, and it’s insane. The alternative is pretending to jump rope in place. I simply cannot do 4 minutes of jumping jacks and the pretend jump roping hurts my knees too much. So I basically just run in place for 4 minutes before my workouts. And I swear, if I have to hear Vince say one more time, “than your just lying” I might track him down so I can punch him in the face. During the video before purchasing the program 2 promises were made. Workouts would be only 3 times per week and there would be no calorie counting. These were both straight up lies. The program workout is 4 days per week and you have to count calories. And if you thought the initial video took forever to get to the point before you purchased, don’t think that improves either any video they send you via email or you view in your app or online takes forever to get to the point. Expect to watch anywhere from 15-30 minutes of Vince just repeating himself and never getting to the point. Oh, and you cannot fast forward the promo videos at all. As soon as I saw that there was calorie counting and more exercise than advertised I knew this was going to be useless. But I stuck with it. I cried during my workout on week 5. The frustration was overwhelming. Trying to fit in these workouts plus plan meals just isn’t feasible, I take care of a household of 9. 2 of which are elderly and 4 of which are children. And none of which should be on this diet plan. That means constantly planning separate meals for me from my family. Just not possible. The one and only pro to this whole program for me was finding some new recipes that I like. Not all were a hit but I do have some new snacks and a few meals that worked really well and I continue to eat. This program is just smoke and mirrors like all the others out there. Lots of promises and zero delivery.

    1. Hi Alicia – Thanks for your feedback on the program – I’m sure many will find your experience helpful! Glad you at least found some recipes you liked, although I wish the program overall had been more helpful…4 minutes of jumping jacks is just crazy! Wishing you the best!

    2. Thank you for posting this! I just watched the painful, hour long video and wondered if his other videos were the same. The man needs to learn to get to the point! And I was wondering about the exercise program and if it was really geared for my age group and fitness level. Sounds like it isn’t. Thank you for sparing me the frustration and pain. I almost bought in.

  23. Thank you for publishing this article – it has been super helpful and you just saved me about $100 and a bunch of time! I have been sucked into those V-Shred videos more than once. I am glad to have found your article so that I can easily swipe on by next time.

  24. Ordered 3 things spent about 99 dollars can’t get in touch with anyone to see what went wrong been trying burn for awhile want to get more just need to see why I didn’t get my order

  25. Excuse me, Natalie, but Sant IS a scam!!! If you take his so-called “quiz,” you get the exact same response, no matter HOW you answer the questions. Everyone is an “endomorph.” Gee, do you need any more evidence than just THAT? Sorry you don’t want to admit that you got taken, but you DID! There’s a sucker born every minute. Glad I’ll NEVER be one of them!

    1. Lol I was thinking the same thing and voila!@ you confirmed it…everyone is an endomorph lol…well thank you for saving me $$$$ that I don’t even have…

  26. I greatly appreciate your honest review. There is so much out there that it is hard to know what is real and what is a lie. Thank you for providing the good and the bad and letting your readers decide if it is good for them.

  27. Thank you. It is exactly as I thought, but did not have to waste my time and money. I personally, have medical issues which have caused weight gain and difficulty in losing weight. I had signed up with another plan by someone else only to find out that I could not do half of the exercises due to my disability. Again, thank you.

  28. Awesome review! thank you so much for taking the time to write out a clear and honest review! I got roped into watching one of his very long videos via a Facebook friend but then didn’t get a real response from that friend on whether it works for her or not. I think I will stick to my basics, eat in moderation, substitute some not-so-healthy snacking for better ones, and continue with my pilates /yoga classes.

    1. What a wonderful review! I am thrilled this before purchasing. I gave been going to a gym and have a personal trainer for about 2 months. My only problem us meal planning. I did have bariatric surgery 4 months ago and have list 40 lbs so far. I hate to say, I am always searching for the “next best thing” when it comes to weight loss AND more energy. I am blessed that at age 69, my medicate pays for my gym membership, so I do enjoy going to work out. My trainer us only 45.00 an hour twice a week. However, I was looking into VShread for I thought it could supplement my activities. I love how you put he “demonizes” the treadmill and other exercises. I actually enjoy the treadmill as well as walking outside. The upsellung us the worse, too. Last thing I want is to pay for a program and have continued ads of buying things. Thanks for saving me 57.00!

      1. Hi Pam! Glad you found the review helpful – it sounds like you’re doing all the right things 🙂 I totally understand always looking for the next best thing when it comes to weight loss & energy ha! And, congrats on losing 40 lbs!

  29. Thank you for a great review. My wife purchased VShred almost two years ago and she did not lose too much weight with the program. She did lose ten pounds just from walking. No diet or meal plan. She just ate in moderation.

I tried the Men’s Extreme Fat Loss program (which is the same exact workout plan as the Women’s Extreme Fat Loss program) and I experienced some knee pain and there were some exercises I could not do.

The constant upsells for supplements became tiring.

I now work out exclusively with the Total Gym, which is great for my 55 year old body and push up regimen.

I must give credit where it is due. I train my core three days per week with VShred’s core routine: 3×20 Knee Rollovers, 3×40 Side Toe Taps and 3×40 Scissor Kicks.

Wishing everyone the best on our healthy living journey.

  30. I wish I had read this review before purchasing VShred! Everything you said is true. I actually gained weight and lost strength during the four weeks on VShred. I work out 5-6x a week, mostly using HIT workouts for 1.5h/day. With VShred, my workouts were 20-30m. This means I’m working out 5 hours less a week with an average heart rate of 135 bpm (peaks to 160 bpm). That comes out to roughly 3k calories a week less being burned. No wonder I gained 3 pounds. I also try to keep my diet below 1,500 calories but Vshred said I should be at 2k – so I also ate more. Every new exercise I’ve seen but had not tried, the food was good, but I have free recipes like this. Worse was the upsells.

    1. Hi Kevin – sorry to hear that the program wasn’t helpful! I wish you had run into this review sooner:) It sounds like you were crushing it with the workouts, maybe go back to those and hopefully with the added calories you feel a bit more energized.

  31. Yes, thank you for this review and everyone’s reply. I was getting ready to purchase program, but then I started wondering if this guy is even real. You never know these days. He could just be an actor. I was also reeled in by a husband and wife team in their 50s/60s who look to be in great shape. So I also started questioning why I didn’t hear more from them. Anyway, thanks for the free tips. I’m the type who never gives up. I’ll figure out how to lose my 10 to 15 pounds eventually. At least I have my energy back!

  32. Hi,

I listened to the much-too-long video just to see how much all of this was going to cost and to find out the “secrets” and to hear about the exercises.

Interestingly, to begin you are given a “test” in which you are asked your height, your weight and your age-range, and your “activity level.” “Couch potato” is not an option, nor is there an option for “limited mobility.”

But, the “sales pitch” never takes into account the age-range one gives (if it’s in the “upper range,” nor do they account for the fact people may not have the physical ability to do the exercises they recommend.

Sure, he mentions “back pain,” but that is about the only thing he mentions regarding a possible limitation, though he goes on to say how the exercises can reduce or eliminate that back pain.

    Nonsense!

He smoothly (and I say that as in someone with the charm to sell ice to those in the northern latitudes during winter) transfers into telling guys they can get bigger arms, ripped abs, etc.

While you “may never have to spend time on the treadmill unless you want to” is frequently repeated, he shows exercises with guys leaping on to platforms as part of the exercise routine.

Find me anyone, of any age, with severe knee problems who can do that.

While there may be some merit into “carb cycling” and adjusting the amount of HEALTHY fats (he only refers to “fats”) in relation to the amount of carbs consumed on a particular day, I find a lot of information is lacking, as is the fact there is no consideration given to the fact people may have physical limitations and cannot do the exercises he claims are “easy.”

Reading about how others are consistently contacted for the purpose of “up-selling,” I can see that is where they are making their money.

“Give away” the “basic program,” and then get people to spend more money on time with a personal trainer and other things. When one person stated they had totaled six hundred dollars in “up sells,” I almost choked on my water.

For those for whom this program works, my congratulations.

I spent far too much time listening to his highly polished sales pitch and that is all I want to spend on something I know will not meet my needs.

    1. Hello,

A nice basic normal review for once on the Internet! You did a great job on this one!

I am long winded: For anyone, looking for a quick fix, don’t bother reading. But if you’re old enough, and or wise enough, you realize that life is challenging at times, and certain things require thought and work. Losing weight, in my specific circumstance, is one of those instances.

V shred did a great job of getting me to this review. But it is not for me…

I am a 52-year-old male. I am 5‘10“. The weight ‘had been’ slowly accumulating since my 30s …to over 215 lbs as of mid November 2023. I remember back in high school, it was all I could do reach 160 pounds before I graduated. Probably in my 20s, I was in the 170s range. I exercised on and off throughout my life. If I look back, I basically gained 1 lb annually …and more in the latter years. Eventually, life events and your metabolism catches up with you.

I’m a typical dad, four kids, age 10 to 18, kid events / sports, desk job, travel once a month, running a household, drink beer on the weekends, etc. nothing out of the ordinary. I do not have time to count calories, but there are a few tools that have helped me (Zero app and my Apple Watch). The visuals help me.

Since mid November, I began intermittent fasting, and it has worked well for me. I am also watching what I eat. Probably the best benefit is that I am not eating like I used to (whenever/wherever).

I am also walking a lot more (aiming for 10,000 steps a day five days a week). I walk at a brisk pace. It typically takes me an hour. I tried jogging before, but I’m not exactly built for speed. I haven’t started doing weights. But I will because I have them and I know the benefits and importance of basic strength training.

My motivation to start taking control arose from a physical feeling. I felt bloated and constricted inside (visceral fat you can’t see, but certainly feel). As far as my looks, I really don’t care. I’m too old for that. But I did notice a picture of me a couple years ago, and my face was quite rounded lol.

Since my mind works a certain way, I had to make some type of connection or visualization of what I wanted to do and what I wanted to achieve (that is loose fat).

The mayo clinic has good information. But this blog does as well. I realized I needed a calorie deficit (less calories coming in and more calories going out). I also came to the realization, that if I am going to sustain this/not be in a yo-yo situation, 1 lb per week should be the goal.

As simple as this sounds, this is what I did / continue to do. I started fasting during certain periods of the day …and I’ve worked myself up to an 18 hour fast (6 hour ‘healthy’ eating window). Again, not for everyone, but has worked for me. This part is the hardest for me, but I’m certainly not starving. I still have lots of fat left ha ha.

And yes, I have fallen off the waggon multiple times (Christmas, March break, family gatherings, etc.). Otherwise, I focus during the weekdays and it’s still a free-for-all during the weekends. I still love my double IPA. If it weren’t for that, I’d probably be further ahead. But hey, I’m enjoying my lifestyle.

I guess another way to look at this, is that I do not have time to prepare multiple tiny, balanced meals throughout the day, but I do have time to prepare one or two healthy nutritious ones. And then I make a point of not putting anything else in my body except for coffee, green tea, water, etc. and I believe that is why fasting has worked for me.

So, as of mid March 2024, I’m 195 lbs. It’s been approx. 18 weeks and I’ve lost a little over 20 lbs. So there you have it (1 lb / wk). I feel so much lighter already. I want to keep going however. Don’t forget I’m only 5’10” lol. Probably a good weight for me would be between 175 and 180 lbs. We shall see!

Sorry for the long review. But as we all know, after being around for a long time, certain things require a longer explanation and a realization that there is no quick fix. Weight loss being one of them, especially at 50.

If I were to boil it down in several words, this would be my list: behaviour, nutrition, exercise. You also need to know why do you want to do this. My main reason is to be as healthy as possible heading towards my 60s and onwards.

Hopefully this will help someone. I will keep an eye on it if anybody has any comments or questions (eating, fasting, exercise, etc. but it’s all straight forward). If not, cheers (double IPA) and good luck to all.

      Jim

      1. Hey Jim! Thanks for sharing – I think this will be incredibly helpful to those out there going through something similar.

And I definitely agree that making sure to still enjoy your lifestyle is key, it’s much easier to stick with it that way (so enjoy your double IPA here and there – ha!).

        Best of luck!

  33. Seriously, thank you for your review. I was debating about doing this because of the “secrets” but realize from your reviews, I pretty much already knew what to do. Thanks again!

  34. Thank you for this detailed review! Very helpful. I’ve gotten to a place in my life where I don’t think any diet plan is wrong…you just gotta know what works for you. And no matter what weight loss program you choose, there’s always the possibility of gaining it back. I feel that his testimonials included lots of people claiming to have been able to keep the weight off. Which is great! But it’s likely because they committed to a lifestyle change, not just the program itself.

      1. Hello,
I just watched the video, and I’m wondering if it would help someone like me who needs accountability. If I can wake up and click on today’s exercise and meals, or look at it the night before, I would find that helpful. I need something that is laid out for me to follow. If that is what I know I need, do u think his plan might be a good fit for me? Thank you.

        1. Hi Valerie!

If you’re looking for a simple plan to follow, I do think it could be helpful! You would be able to see the work outs for each day and recommended meals. If you wanted specific meals laid out it might make sense to purchase the meal plan as well. Let me know if you give it a try!

        2. But, you will keep having g to invest money. There are plenty of free groups on fb and you tube etc. There you can be accountab le to your fellow members in the group. There are also local groups in many cities that are free or cheap and you actually have contact with live real people for support. Makes a big difference.

  35. I was ready to go get my credit card, but thought I might get a review before doing so. I am 67 and would love the lose 20 lbs or more. I do want an easy fix. They are right in not being able to sustain low-carb diets and that the weight just comes back when you stop. I want to eat regular foods with sweets once in a while. This programs sounds like how I would love to eat and exercise. I would like to find more out about metabolic confusion for sure. Sounds better than never eating carbs again!!

    1. Hi Cathy
Usually when something sounds to good to be true it Usually is. This just seems like the perfect solution to weight loss doesn’t it?

    1. Thank you so so much. Your review of the Vince Sant program. Excellent!! You saved me from a frustrating experience. The cost is totally affordable, but I did believe the exercises would be geared towards my age group at least since I’m almost 60 with bad knees. The constant upsell would drive me crazy. All the best to you.

      1. Please let me know what you found out, I need surgery in both knees but in my current health & life situations I can’t right now.

  36. Thanks so much Natalie for this review. I needed this to help me justify the 57$ that I just spent on the program. Desperate to lose 10 pounds.

    1. Thank you for your insight. I literally had my credit card out but I thought let me look up the reviews and your page was the first I hit…

  37. Thank you for your helpful review after wading through his blah blah blah schpiel and marketing campaign!!

I think I’ll stick with my “Tony Little Gazelle” thank you. I’ve lost 40 lbs on it twice?! Best piece of investment exercise equipment I’ve ever worked out on in my life!! I put on some nice lean muscle 💪 too. I’ll forever be indebted to Tony for his invention. Can’t say enough good about it.

    Thanks again!!

    Evon Austin 🥰

  38. Hi, while I understand why it might not be worth it to many, to me, it was. As an overweight 65 year old who has yo-yo dieted since I 15, the only thing I knew was eat less. I didn’t realize that was doing me more harm. Even my doctors were no help. Eat less, exercise more. I was known as the cardio queen at the gym. An overweight queen. Anyway, vshred taught me to carb cycle. I had never heard of it and neither have my doctors. I have lost over 30 pounds slowly. No quick weight loss, but something I can maintain. I have become more aware that my body needs food for fuel instead of starving it. Yes I bought a round of some supplements but realized they were no different than any others I have bought in the past that did nothing. I also didn’t use their meal plan. I knew for it to be effective for me, it had to be foods I normally eat. So I logged my foods, learned about macros and worked with my foods. I eat pretty cleanly, just not very much because of trying to lose weight. So eating a nice helping of baked chicken was heaven for me. The exercises weren’t hard for me either. The app could be more user friendly, but it’s ok. So I was happy with my 47 bucks. I’ve spent alot more for so much less in the past. The free masterclasses are great too. I still sign up for them over a year later. Also, you keep the plan and the app forever. Not just 90 days. The Facebook group is probably the worst thing about the whole thing. Most of the women whine about not understanding and they haven’t read the material or they want to do it their way. I tell them, if you don’t want to follow what they gave you, why did you join. There is no magic fix to weight loss, but I have learned the best way for me. At least so far.

    1. THANK YOU!!! I am I heard one positive comment. I listened to the entire ” sales pitch ” as people love to say. I learned something. I actually never heard about carb cycling. While,I am debating if it is for me I learned. Nothing is all right or all wrong. I used to be a trainer. Yes you can find free YouTube videos but for some reason when you are in community you do better.
I love when people blog and stay in the middle line. Explain what works and what didn’t withthe same energy.
People lives might be changed by something that perhaps you didn’t value.
Anyhow, just thank you for Sharing what worked. People be concerned about a $47 but overlook they spend that on crap food. 😆

  39. Thanks for the in depth review. I thought about buying into it, but learned over the years of being scammed to checkout Google first. I signed up for your meal plans.

    1. Hi Nat, wish I would’ve seen your review last nite!.. before I got sucked into the whole “schpiel” , pretty sure I was the perfect candidate, feeling down and needing/wanting to lose 20 lbs. it all made perfect sense then.. and it probably does work but.. did i have to pay someone to tell me? I spose not. Hopefully it’ll do me good, and then there’s also the 100% refund if not satisfied, right? =/
      Thanks for your insights. =)

      1. I would love to hear your thoughts about the program. After reading some of the more positive reviews, I’m thinking for $57, it may be worth it to me. I gained 40 lbs since COVID. Biggest I’ve ever been.

      2. Same for me, so will give it a whirl and see what I learn. I am my biggest problem in that I sign up, and b/c I work heavy hours, and cook meals /do clean up each nt after work, don’t sleep well due to hot flashes, etc I get too tired to mess with apps every night 🙁 I need to balance more and prioritize more. I too signed up for your plans and used the links also. Thank you so much for your blog and insights! I’ll try to report back!

  40. Thank you for this review. I was led to this program, but after hearing him talk & talk & talk, I started to think this was just another weight marketing strategy. What you reminded me was that there is tons of free information (on you tube & such) that can give all of the same information. I’m a physician with about 20 lbs I need to lose. His explanations on how the body loses weight is good, but it’s also not a secret requiring $$ to find out. Appreciate your write up!

      1. Thanks for your review. I bought the program on Friday and asked for a refund on Sunday.
I was interested in carb cycling and HIIT neither of which could be found. I wrote to them to say their promise of carb cycling was only a 90 day low calorie approach. The very one that Vince said doesn’t work. As for HIIT – it was all based on gym equipment.
Your review was very reassuring and I hope that anyone who bought into their empty promises asks for a refund.

  41. Thank you for this! I have definitely considered checking it out and seeing what difference it was to everything else I’ve done. Sounds like it’s not. You just saved me a ton of frustration! Thank you!

  42. I guess I’m glad to read your review, it most likely saved me $57 (price must have went up!) But I’m still salty about not finding that magic program to melt me fat away while still eating donuts and pizza! Sad to see they didn’t include those foods , as promised! I started to get more skeptical as video went on and they started saying daily 20 min workouts, at first they said 10 min workout 3x week! And also later they added booty program 20 min, and abs program 20 mins. Sooo I’m really gonna be exercising 60 mins a day everyday not the promised 10 3x week and no donuts or pizza? I’m out. Lol. I know I can lose wt if I exercise a ton and give up the goodies.

  43. Much appreciated! I just sat through the entire. Vshred marketing video, and had there been a PayPal or ApplePay version I would have signed up. Thank you for sharing your wisdom!

  44. Thank you for the breakdown. I’m not at all surprised by their 3 secrets. They aren’t secret at all. Eat. Stay calm. Mix it up. I appreciate the straightforward commentary. Signed up for the mailing list. I look forward to digging through your vegan recipes.

      1. Hey! Thank you for your wonderful review, and thoughtful insight into this program. It really was helpful as I’m considering whether or not to purchase it.

FWIW, the 3 secrets he gave in my video were not “Eat. Stay calm. Mix it up”, and what he did say didn’t at all sound like ‘common sense’. I’m not a beginner at all, though I do struggle with motivation and cravings.

What I heard him say was….

        – ‘Don’t starve yourselves in order to lose weight’. This does not seem obvious, though of course it’s true.

        – ‘Carb cycling’, I’ve never heard of it, so it was helpful to learn about it as it relates to carb intake and fat intake and balancing those two.

        – ‘Eat more fats’ also doesn’t seem logical, though again it’s well proven to be important. I loved that he pointed out numerous fats that I love (salmon, steak, nuts, avocado, etc).

        – ‘HIIT training’ is likely the most well known of these, but I’d still not call it “common sense for weight loss”, at least not for those who’ve struggled.

Please know I’m not trying to be combative, and not trying to start a disagreement. However, your review overall seemed to say that this program can be useful though there are a lot of annoying aspects to it (i.e. regular upselling, bad UI for workouts, over simplified recipes, etc). As you said above, however, it does not seem to be a scam, even though it is likely more simple than advertised. Many of the comments here seem to be not embracing the fact that you said that this is not a scam, even though there are other ways to get this information.

I would add that sometimes people want a very clear program to be put in front of them, they don’t want to do the research on YouTube, or on Google, or wherever, or when they do that research, they might find 10 different conflicting answers.

I have not signed up for VShred, still doing my research, and I found your review extremely helpful. It seemed to say that this can be a useful program for some people, but for others it might not be worth the price. $50 does seem like a pretty low price, especially since it’s not a recurring fee.

  45. Well – I wish I found your review before taking the bite and signing up. I really thought that having a meal plan and exercise program would be helpful for me. I’ve tried sooooooo many diet plans, gut health supplements and programs, and whatever else is out there. I’m tired of spending loads of money on things that don’t work, so I thought that $57 seemed reasonable for a way to help me get on a daily/weekly plan. So now … I guess I’ll try it out. Thank you for the wonderful review and suggestions for free resources. It’d been nice if I found it before watching the VERY long video that convinced me it was what I needed.

    1. Please let us know how it goes for you. Id like to know your initial thoughts on the exercise program. Also, is there an annual fee to continue?

      1. There is no annual fee. It’s one time. I do it and I like it. The exercises, meal plan and recipes all in one spot and I can refer to them as much as I like anytime I like.

    1. On day8 of the get ripped in 90 days with V-Shred. The exercises are pretty intense if you fresh off the couch and unconditioned especially the HIIT, but I must say HIIT exercises are essential in their programs. Their recipe guide, I might follow or infuse someone eleses into it, but I have to say. I feel a bit insulted they immediately try to upsell you the moment you purchase their basic program. They had me for 600 dollars worth of stuff I accidently clicked on but they kindly and quickly reversed the charges. The assesment test is a 30 min video call 1 week in talking about goals and stuff, but I just knew in the back of my head they were going to try to upsell me with something else. I had the Turbo program added to my cart when I told the PT/salesguy right off the bat I wasn’t ready for that committment quite yet. I was still getting used to the basic program. It took 3 solid “no’s” to get him to give up and when he finally did we politely ended the video session in good terms. However, I am remaining positive and continue on the basic plan and to continue taking the Burn Supplements, which are not cheap unless you order through them. I don’t want to call it a scam, but it certainly comes off that way when you recieve a plethera of e-mails with the upsell. V-shred def not for the lazy and half-way committed. You really gotta want to do it and be ready to make the life changes. I’m getting there. I don’t need 24-7 live coaching either todo it. Just the guide arranged into an easy to follow day-to-day program and to continue owards when complete with carb cycling, buy I’ll see. Life gets hectic.

    2. Every diet plan has same marketing techniques. It seems u watch video, order plan$47 but never tried it , u seem be fixated what video says and is guessing outcome without trying his workout and meals😂 and u promoting your meals. He also said u can research everything I told u do it that way but he already did home work for u. If I was customer and his plan not working,I surely not willing continue purchasing other diet stuf I saw everything u said, but for customer understanding how our body work and most us don’t know so we relying expert tell us. Like u said there free information everywhere,so why we having weight loss problem if it’s all out there as u say for free.?

  46. Thanks so much for posting this review. Frankly, as I was listening to Vince’s interminable infomercial I began to think one of his weight loss interventions was non stop talking from dawn to dusk! Your observations are eminently sensible and totally on target.

    1. Awesome review. Thank you for taking the time to include free alternatives and being honest in your opinion. One thing you forgot to mention was his mom. He kept referring to her a lot 🙂

      1. Interesting that you mentioned his mom, because I watched his pitch after clicking on the male icon in the “quiz” and he mentioned his dad repeatedly throughout. And I’ve never bought into any program without hitting the interwebs to research the reviews, so this review was much appreciated. Even at the $57 price he’s advertising today, it really didn’t sound like there was a lot of depth to the program.

  47. Would have bought out of vulnerability without thinking. Caught up on impulse, thank for the save and the resources.

  48. Just wanted to thank you for your very honest and unbiased review. This was incredibly helpful. Thank you for also sharing some great links (real food dieticians and youtube videos) as additional resources. I appreciate your passion and knowledge for this!

  49. Thanks for your review. You covered alot of key points I saw when viewing the video. Overselling and too much useless information. I do wish sucess to ones who choose this program.

  50. Well I purchased it and after I did trying to get on the website was crazy download the app but my email was and password was never accessible changed it 3 times after that I got in the help link left a question once obit kept wanting me to buy others items I exercise eat healthy but like you mentioned I might have to see a doctor I’ve lost 36 pounds goal is 40 more I did cancel let’s see how that goes I just wanted to keep seeing results thanks for your review I did think after I while something wasn’t worth the hype

    1. If you lost 36 pounds on V Shred, congrats on that, why did you cancel. And what did you cancel as he says there is no monthly fee just the first purchase. I was just wondering because I was just watching his infomercial and then looking at reviews.

      1. Hi Kimberly,

Just in case Lisa doesn’t see your comment – I think she lost 36 pounds in general (not from V-Shred) but she wasn’t able to access the program so she cancelled (and got a refund). There is no monthly fee – unless you sign up for something like personal guidance from a trainer. Hope that helps!

  51. Natalie – YOU ROCK!!! I would read any review from you and my expectations of your quality of detail would not be disappointing. I typically navigate through reviews expecting a lack of thoroughness and usually run into the reviewer’s opinion that is endeavored to Garner followers. It is refreshing to read a review without heavy bias (kind of like I wish news from professional news sources were delivered but even that is rarely objective). Please keep your reviews going and don’t buckle to any sponsor who may entice you to use your followers for advertising purposes!

  52. Great article Natalie! I really appreciate your straightforward, honest approach. Thanks for including resource links, those are super helpful!

  53. Thank you for taking the time to post this review. Also, providing links and suggestions that can assist without any cost. A little common sense, some effort to be active, strive for healthy foods – not meaning cutting out anything except “unhealthy” – goes a long way. We know what to avoid and to be good to ourselves and life is based on moderation. I think your review encapsulates all of those points as well.

  54. I JUST got bombarded with V Shred ads and decided to search reviews. Ditto what Nicole said – thanks for the thoughtful and honest review. I especially appreciate you providing (free) solutions and not just saying “nope, it’s not worth it”.

I took a quick look at The Real Food Dietitians and there is tons of great info and “real” meals here! Thanks!
