Apple Baked Oats with a Caramel Sauce
These apple baked oats are the perfect comforting companion to a warm cup of coffee! Add the homemade caramel on top and you'll swear you're eating dessert for breakfast. It's that good.

Apple Baked Oats
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- ½ cup non-dairy milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ medium-sized banana
- 1-2 tsp maple syrup / agave
- ¼ cup chopped apple
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder *optional
Homemade Caramel Sauce
- ½ tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- ½ - 1 tbsp maple syrup
- ¼ tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 400F
Blend together all the ingredients for the baked oats except the apple
Place some of the chopped apple in the bottom of a single serve ramekin, and pour the oat cake batter on top, top with the rest of the apple
Bake for 20-25 min
While baking, start the caramel sauce by mixing together the coconut oil and almond butter and microwaving for 10 seconds
Whisk in the rest of the ingredients
Pour desired amount on top of the baked oats and enjoy!
